About

I am a second generation Chinese-American woman with familial roots in Vietnam, trying to forge my own path in San Francisco, CA. I grew up in Las Vegas, surrounded by the desert, slot machine sounds, parking garages and an inherent dependency on air conditioning and automobiles. This is likely where my obsession with sustainability and environmentalism began.

I studied Materials Science and Engineering at MIT, but found myself more intrigued in subjects related to my minors in Applied International Studies and Energy Studies, and most enthralled by classes in my humanities electives: Food Ethics, Reading Fiction, and Intro to Anthropology. That’s all to say, I’ve got technical chops, but feel most fulfilled when using these skills to connect with people and the planet.

These days, I live in San Francisco and feel incredibly grateful to have the privilege to work on issues I am passionate about, escape to nature easily, and enjoy the country’s best produce year round.

At the moment I am into fiber arts, watercolors, beach volleyball and the My Climate Journey podcast. Drop me a line here if you want to connect!
